Draconian

Draconians are the sapient inhabitants of planet Cindre.

They are highly diverse in appearance.

Draconians have long lifespans and infrequent breeding cycles, which results in a relatively small population

draconian types (Drakes, Wyverns, Vokuns , Dragons , Vogons ) are NOT genetically distinct or seperate species, but morphological distinctions. Genetically all draconians are VERY similar, regardless of type.

Common traits across all groups:

   - six limbs (in Drakes and Wyverns, one pair is vestigial)
   - feathers  
   - ears (except most dragons)  
   - wings (except drakes)  
   - "hands", grasping limbs. the front legs in the case of drakes, dragons, vokuns and vogons, and the wings in the case of wyverns.    

Traits between individual Draconians, even within the same group, can vary greatly. Some of them may be inherited from one or both parents, but they might also be entirely random.

Examples of traits that can vary:

   - Coat color and patterns
   - Horns, spines, their size, shape, and if they're present at all.
   - Wing size/shape
   - Tails: their thickness, length, and tip (can end in a tuft of feathers, in a spike, or other formations). Can also end up featherless in groups that usually have a feathered tail, and vice versa

There aren't really many restrictions to how much can mutate, and unlike with real life creatures, a lot can change in a single generation. All of the groups can breed with eachother, since they are the same species.

Sometimes, individuals are born that don't really match any of the five groups. In that case, they are officially classified as "Other", but this really isn't that big of a deal, as groups are (usually) less important of a classification than stuff like individual needs and physical features (wings/no wings, flighted/flightless, bipedal/quadrupedal, etc.).
